Alyssa got a 4.0 grade point average all this year so far!! No, we aren't proud of that either!! She is really doing exceptional in school! She is really smart!

Jeremy is a pro at his addition and subtraction... the best on 10 fingers!! He is really reading good too! We are proud of him too!! He has really come along way in school!

More Track

Well, here is another record breaking day for Ben!! He did pretty good in the javelin... other than the face-plant! He was running up to throw and his feet got all twisted up and he fell flat on his face as he threw... didn't scratch so they measured it!! Not the best throw but funny as can be!! Then there was the discus... he threw really good but no record breakers there. He threw just over 105' which isn't his best but still consistent and really good! Okay... then he threw the shot put! His first throw was 37' 9", really good! Then he threw a 34' and then a 36'. He got tips and help from our neighbor who throws (Jeff went to college on a track scholarship) and helps from Coach Keith and then got in the groove and threw a 38' 11"!!! That is a personal best!! He is really loving track and feels he has found a niche!! We are so proud!

Portland Christian Track Meet!

Ben did GREAT!! He threw javelin... not his favorite and it shows. He threw 35.1 in the shot... not a personal record but still very good! He is being quite consistent and that is really good. THEN... his discus.... he threw 110.5 feet and that is about 3 feet past his personal best! Go Ben... but that isn't all!! He got into the finals! He took 9th at this track meet!! That is really good since he was up against kids that threw over 140 feet!! So we are proud of him!!

We are also pretty proud of Jeremy and Alyssa... what a long day to sit around in the sun! They did great... very little complaining and they played pokemon cards all day! Alyssa is really a GREAT sister!! They made the day WONDERFUL!!! Even though we are all a little burnt!! Hooray for the perfect weather and that big yellow ball in the sky... we don't always get to see it for the track meets!!

Here we are again!

Well I haven't updated this blog in forever! Guess I need to bookmark this site since I have a hard time finding it!!

We will start with John this time... He is working at Blazer Industries in the drywall department. John has diverticulitis, but we are changing our eating habits to try to keep him from discomfort.

Ben. Well, he is doing great... He is getting pretty good grades... has been on honor roll every quarter. This is track season so he is again throwing shot put, javelin, and discus. He will run only if he has to! He has gotten personal records in his events right away! He threw the javelin 71feet (not his best!), he threw the discus 103.2 feet and that was a personal best AND put him 3rd in the district. He also throws the shot put... he threw 36.6 feet, a personal best and put him in 7th in the district! so, we are going to practices every night and at least one meet a week until mid-May! Busy, busy!!

Alyssa. She is a book worm still! She has read more books than I can keep up with! She has been on high honor roll every quarter and has straight A's so far this year!! She is still going with Judy (me) to the Humane Society every Saturday and cleaning out the Bunny Cages. She is a true animal lover! She is doing a science report about dogs and painted her project board like a dalmation! It looks great!!

Jeremy. Homeschooling is fun with Jeremy! He is full of energy and keeps Judy (me) on her toes!!! He is reading well and enjoying it. He has many friends in the neighborhood to keep him busy!

Judy. Homeschooling is fun with Jeremy!! I'm babysitting the neighbor boy before he goes to school and after school. He is a handful, but Jeremy likes to have a friend here... most of the time.

Well that's us in a nut shell! More later... hopefully with pictures!
