Accident, Orange Belt, New Costume

Ok... I haven't updated in a while so...

First, John and I were in a car accident on 9-24-2008! We were hit in the behind and shoved into the car in front of us. No one was hurt bad but we are both very stiff! I can't believe that much damage can be done to a car! Our hitch took most of the damage so the car is still mostly drivable... We have some squeaks that weren't there before!

In other news... Jeremy got his Orange Belt in Taekwondo. He had to work really hard and do his "form" and "One-step" in front of a lot of people. He was the loudest one and did his stuff wonderfully! We are so proud!

Ben and Alyssa had conferences today for school... they are both doing GREAT! One needs to not talk so much in math and the other needs to not push so hard in PE... I won't tell which one is which! They are both getting Excellent grades and we are VERY proud!

Okay... the last picture is of one of my kids in a "Darth Vader" costume... can you guess who it is???

Yes, It's my Jeremy! He was so excited about his costume he HAD to try it on! So we took pictures early... just in case!!

Well, that's you getting caught up on us!

Putting WVCS back together and the Beach

Well the Stockwell's put the wall back up at WVCS... In a new place... We still have to do the finishing tape and texturing, then come back and paint it but the wall is up! Ben and John worked really hard to get all the sheetrock up and the windows in.
THEN... the Stockwell family went to the beach to spent the night! It was FUN! We spent the night in a "dog-friendly" motel so Kaycee came with us, which was fun! She LOVES the beach as much as we do!
Jeremy swam in the pool without his lifejacket or water wings! Mom was worried... Dad said it would be fine! And it was!

Ben had a great time jumping from rock to rock! He looked like Superman!

Weather was rainy the first day so the kids mostly swam in the pool and played card games, then the next day it was better! It was even sunny in the afternoon!
John, Alyssa and Jeremy had fun watching the water spout up around the rocks! Kaycee even went swimming in the ocean water!

John and Jeremy ran away from Ben as he snuck over the fence at the Boiler Bay Scenic Place!

Alyssa took this amazing shot! She also put the lens of the camera up to the telesope and took some close up shots of a rock in the ocean! She had a ton of fun with the camera!
Well, that was our fun trip! We will update again when the tape and texture is done at WVCS!

Webkinz and more BMX

Here comes Ben and August on the BMX track in Newberg OR and there goes Jeremy on the other side. Guess we will be spending a lot of time there! They had tons of fun! Jeremy found a friend and August and Ben were able to do some jumps and go faster since they didn't have to wait for Jeremy! It was a perfect day... overcast and about 75ish! Love that... no sitting in the hot sun for mom!
Alyssa has gotten me hooked on a new gaming site... www.webkinz.com. Unfortunately you have to own a webkinz stuffed animal in order to access the site! We have been having fun collecting "Kinzcash" and creating fun rooms in her house. She has many of these stuffed pets... 16 to be exact... and she has a huge list of others she wants! Guess she needs a job!

Jeremy the BMX Rider!

What a rider! He is a mere 6 yrs old and has only been without his training wheels for about a month! It's amazing! He is all boy... fell several times at the BMX park in Newberg Or and each time he would put his hand in the air and say, "I'm okay." He loves his bike and is very greatful that his big brother took the time to take off the training wheels and let him ride!

Changing the look of WVCS

Here we are at the school (WVCS) taking the wall out of the library to make room for more books and a computer lab. Willamette Valley Christian School is making some changes to improve its look and offerings! It's exciting to see new things taking place. We had a good time taking the wall down... Jeremy kicked out part of the wall and Ben got to use an axe!

Jeremy had a BAD case of the hives for a couple weeks! We didn't know what from but we think it was from a new fabric softener... oh well! He is over it now but oh boy it was bad!!

Alyssa got to have a sleep over at Grandma Kathy's house! She met an old friend at the park (Angelee) and they had a great time... they found that even though Angelee lives in India and Alyssa here they do have a lot in common! Makes the world seem so small!

John's hours are crazy right now... they gave him day time hours but didn't find anyone for all his night hours yet so he is working 3pm to 11pm one day and then has a day off and then works 11pm to 7am! Hope they get that worked out soon! He is also still doing Drywall so he is a VERY busy man!

New Blog Site, Lettered in Track, Straight A's and Jeremy!

Hello...
This is our new blog site since .mac wants money for theirs! Guess I should have read all the fine print... no glasses! Oh well!

Ben Lettered in Track this year! We are so proud of him! He really likes track and did really well! He threw the shot put 34 feet, the discus 102 feet, and the javelin... well we won't mention that one! He also did a couple of the relays. The Warrior men came in second in state, tied with Saint Paul! That was a huge accomplishment for them since we are a pretty small team compared to others.

We got the report cards and SAT results the other day... I'm proud to say that everyone is doing well in school. Ben got honor roll and Alyssa got straight A's!! Alssa also got the science award for the second year in a row! That is cool!

Jeremy is riding his bike with NO training wheels! Ben taught him and he hasn't stopped since! He gets more exercise than all of us daily!!

We are almost all in our house... I have about 15 - 20 more boxes to go through and we will be "in"!

John has gone to working days... the swing shift... 3pm to 11pm. He works Mon - Thur and Sat. This is his first night... I hope he likes having more interaction with the kids... I think he will!

Well that is our updates... I'll try to get pictures next entry!
